This montage video features audio clips of some of the best sound-engineered legacy music from many of our pioneer audio engineers and studios. The clips are sourced from my audio restoration projects master file archive and many are also featured on my YouTube Channel - TheVRP (Vinyl Restoration Project). These audio clips were also part of a year long comparative study stemming from my Music Technology senior project course at Nashville State. The studio is now in full production mode and the face for the studio is the name - LegacyVMP Studio. Also, the sound you will hear on this site is not the final sound developed for production but rather, represents a marker in time and is a very good illustration of the different plateaus reached while undergoing the developmental/maturing process of building a studio***.
I love what this site represents to me as I was going through my 'Senior Project' and finishing up another chapter to get ready to move on to bigger and better things. A lot was happening very quickly and we were hitting 'pay dirt' frequently with 'The Sound' as it continued to mature. So at this point (late 2018 into 2019), I was nearing the final stages of development during very intensive phases of implementation/testing/tweaking of what was to be the final sound at LegacyVMP.
'Lotsa' good audio samples found here so please enjoy and don't forget to visit my studio page. There you will find 'the sound' centered around this wonderful, powerful sound we like to call the 'Legacy LP Mastered Sound' found only in original first edition Master vinyl pressings and from which our resulting processed sound is derived. We believe in our alternative digital product known as 'Digital HFE' audio and from which we offer multiple services in a supportive/partnering role with Mastering Studios. We are so excited for what the future holds for this little studio and expect great things to come so stay tuned.

***Update: 01/2022
We've added samples of The Legacy LP Mastered Sound Video Series videos on our Benchmark page that do serve to represent the final 'sealed' studio sound as it is today in production mode so you can 'hear the difference'. And along those lines, it is important to stress that none of the samples we use in this series of videos and/or on our business website represent the 'zenith in this legacy audio engineered studio sound'. Why? Because as of yet, we do not have a standard put in place by the industry to allow this studio (and others like it) to establish a process whereby an official 'Vinyl Master' is designated and earmarked for industry-use purposes thereby allowing for the creation of an official replacement master where deemed necessary by the industry for those legacy recordings.
So as our studio continues moving forward and positive changes continue to evolve within the legacy audio industry, we are confidant that one of the more significant developments will indeed be an anticipated industry standard to emerge in order to allow studios like this one to reach its fullest potential and function as originally intended to ensure that the absolute best possible conversion is achieved to be handed over to the mastering studios.
